Announcements and Music for March 22nd

Good rehearsal last night. Please remember next week there’s no practice due to the school being closed for Reading Week. With Fadi gone in April for one practice we have 6 rehearsals remaining before our Spring Concert on Sat, May 7th. I appreciate that many of our members have been away in exotic places enjoying sun and warmth. Just a reminder to all that if you’re going to miss a rehearsal for any reason please let your Section Leader and or the conductor and myself know so that we can make any adjustments necessary. Please let us know now if you are not going to be available for our Spring Concert.

At our last rehearsal I mentioned a fundraiser that a friend and colleague of Lisa’s is organizing on Apr 16th. I’ve attached their poster to this email with all the details if you are interested.

I’ve also attached an updated GCCB Equipment Inventory List. It’s been several years since a complete inventory of our band’s possessions has been taken. My intention is to table this as our official list of equipment during our October AGM so that we may accept it as our documented inventory. Several members have mentioned equipment that may or may not be in the possession of past members of our band. If we cannot locate and put our hands on these items in the next 5 months then we should consider these items lost. Please do not continue to tell me about who you think has something we own. If you can track down these items, we will gladly add them to our inventory list. In the fall, if we accept a version of what I’ve attached as our official equipment list we will adjust our insurance to adequately reflect what we own. Please feel free to email or talk to me if you have any concerns or questions.
