Modified Music Order, Change to Post Governor’s Walk BAB
All, please note that the forecast for both of our outdoor performances on Sunday and Tuesday calls for rain! Grrrrrrrrrr. I will be sure to take a close look at the forecast and weather radar images on Sunday morning and make a “Go / No Go” call around 11 am.
Please wear your band shirts, black pants and bring a music stand and chair with you. We will have plexiglass to hold your music in place. Feel free to bring along your own clothes pins or clips if you’d prefer to use them.
June 5th Concert at Jacques Cartier Park, 2 pm. Event has been created on Facebook; feel free to share the event and invite your family and friends! Downbeat at 2 pm. Please wear your band shirts and black bottoms and bring your own water, music stands *and* a chair. Weather cancellation decision will be made around 11 AM. If cancelled I will send an email to all, then call all Section Leaders for them to call all their members. I will also post the cancellation on Facebook and our website. Free parking for band members will be available at the Maisons des Auteurs; same spot as last year. Please note that as they will be hosting a function on that day, we will not be the only users of this parking lot so car pooling is suggested. The lot will be open by 1 pm and will close at 4 pm. If you are staying after the concert to enjoy the park, please be sure to move your vehicle before the parking lot is locked.
“The city parking lot is quite near the terrace (10 or 20 paces) where the band is performing. You are able to stop here and unload. There is free parking at the other side of the park and it is about a 5 min walk back to the terrace. Jun 7th – Senior’s Home performance, Governor’s Walk, Full Band, 150 Stanley Ave, Ottawa. Downbeat at 7 pm. Rain call will be made at 4 pm. Social following our performance will be at The Works, 363 St Laurent Blvd; our regular pub has been torn down.
