AGM, BBQ, Folder Night Parts I & II
Thank you to all who participated in our concert at Jacques Cartier Park! The weather turned out to be perfect and apart from the occasional breeze that Tomas cursed, all the pieces came together and it was a beautiful day. I’ve posted a link to some pictures and videos of each of our pieces on our Facebook page and at the bottom of this announcement. These links will also be posted on our webpage shortly.
June 9th will be our AGM. We need to declare a quorum before the meeting can called to order. I will do my best to keep the meeting as short as possible. Please help your Executive support our band by attending this meeting if at all possible. I’ve kept it simple; you don’t need to wear your band shirts, black pants or shoes, bring a stand, nor a chair or your instrument! If I’m successful keeping the meeting short, we can all retire to Broadway’s for an early BAB. I’ve sent you all another copy of our agenda and a copy of the minutes from last year’s AGM for your review. Please let me know if you did not receive this email.
Reminder that Fadi and Monique are hosting their Band BBQ next Saturday, June 13th. “Many people told me that they couldn’t make it June 19th for the end of year get together. I would like to propose a date change. Mark your calendars for Saturday June 13th at 4:30PM. I’d love to try something new and try playing a few tunes together for 15 minutes on the grass before we eat. For those of you that are new, this invitation is open to all of your family members. I’ll supply the BBQ. The salad, appetizers, snack food and desserts are pot luck style. There is enough room for everyone to enjoy each others company.. a pool for the kids and the kid at heart and a fire pit for smores when the sun sets. I do have about 40 places to sit outside but pack a lawn chair in your car just in case. Please RSVP so that I can plan for food. If you have any questions let me know directly at fpdiab13@gmail.com. All of this is rain pending. I will send a list around at our meeting this coming Tuesday.”
Next Tuesday, June 16th will be folder night followed by our end of year social at Broadways. I’ve sent you a document that we’d like each of you to print off, fill in and place at the front of your folder before folder night. Anna created this document to help you identify the music that we are returning and help our Librarian Erin know which pieces we are missing.
