Announcements and Music for Sept 19th

I want to start this weeks announcements off by extending a warm welcome to our new members Emilie on clarinet, Samuel on bari sax and Shelby on flute. Id also like to welcome back Julien on euphonium and James on trombone.

Executive Mtg held last Thursday. Minutes will be on Band website shortly in the members only area. A copy has been included with the weekly email for your information. A draft copy of the planned AGM Agenda scheduled for Sept 26th has also been included. If you have any concerns, questions or items to add to AGM Agenda please talk to one of your Executive no later than end of rehearsal on Sep 19th. A copy of the proposed budget that will be presented at the AGM for this year will be forwarded to all of you shortly.

A reminder to all to let your Section Leaders know if you will be returning this year so we can determine what our quorum needs to be for our upcoming AGM. Section Leaders can you please forward these details to me as soon as possible.

We were near capacity for our band room this past Tuesday. Please note that Lisa spent at least 15 mins after almost everyone had left moving chairs and music stands back into their proper place. If you and or your section have to move chairs and stands to set up for our Tuesday rehearsal, please have the courtesy to help return the room to its original state prior to leaving.

As mentioned during rehearsal the front door code for GCCB to use is #6835* It was working this week at 6:15 pm. I do not anticipate any further difficulties with this new system. A reminder that as the weather gets cooler, we will be closing our side entrance 5 10 mins after our conductor arrives. If you arrive after the side door is closed, you will have to use the code to enter the school from the front doors.
