Surveys, Exec Mtg Mins, Road Show Details

About two thirds of the band has taken part in our surveys. Your feedback is instrumental in focusing your executive’s efforts throughout the season! Please try to complete these prior to Tuesday. Links to these surveys can be found at the bottom of this email.

The minutes of our Executive Meeting held May 19th are attached for your review. Feel free to raise any concerns, comments or questions to any of your executive members. I’ve also attached a draft AGM agenda for June 14th. As you can see it is an extremely short agenda and my hope is it will last no longer than 20 mins.

Road Show:

Downbeat for all senior residences performances are at 7 pm. Please wear your band shirts and bring a music stand with you. For Concert in the Park and Governor’s Walk we will have plexiglass to hold your music in place. Feel free to bring along your own clothes pins or clips if you’d prefer to use them.

May 31st – Senior’s Home performance, Portobello ½ Band

691 Valin Road, Orleans;

Jun 5th – Concert in the Park, Jacques Cartier Park, 2 pm

Concert at Jacques Cartier Park. Event has been created on Facebook; feel free to share the event and invite your family and friends! Downbeat at 2 pm. Please wear your band shirts and black bottoms and bring your own water, music stands *and* a chair. Weather cancellation decision will be made at 11 AM. If cancelled I will send an email to all, then call all Section Leaders for them to call all their members. I will also post the cancellation on Facebook and our website. Free parking for band members will be available at the Maisons des Auteurs; same spot as last year. Please note that as they will be hosting a function on that day, we will not be the only users of this parking lot so car pooling is suggested. The lot will be open by 1 pm and will close at 4 pm. If you are staying after the concert to enjoy the park, please be sure to move your vehicle before the parking lot is locked.

“The city parking lot is quite near the terrace (10 or 20 paces) where the band is performing. You are able to stop here and unload. There is free parking at the other side of the park and it is about a 5 min walk back to the terrace. All the band members have this option to unload and then park their cars on the other side of the park.”
